Our client provides long term independent housing in Cork City for
people who are homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. Established
in **Apply on the website**, it is an AHB, Tier 2 registered charity,
with zero public profile. The organisation is a member of the Irish
Council for Social Housing (ICSH).
The organisation?s operations comprise the provision of units up to
the time of occupation by tenants through referral and additionally,
the management and support of these units and the tenants. It buys
completed units ready for letting, buys sites and builds and buys
units for upgrading/refurbishing. They currently have over **Apply on

ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to the expansion in the size of its operations, as well as an
increasing requirement to fulfil new regulatory and compliance
requirements, our client is now seeking a CEO who will support the
work already undertaken in the provision of housing, property
management and tenant support and who will develop and innovate the
organisation during this key phase of change and growth.
This is a new position within the organisation, as it moves from a
volunteer-led management to a senior management leadership approach.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the new CEO will lead and manage
the company's relationships with its key stakeholders, such as Cork
City Council, banks, the general public, referral agencies, governance
bodies, contractors and service providers. The person will manage the
multifaceted aspects of the business, for example, property
management, tenant support and staff management, as well as developing
a sustainable strategy for the future success of the organisation. The
person will establish effective systems to track and report
performance against standards and targets and lead their colleagues to
ensure?that all legal, housing and regulatory standards are
maintained.
Integral to the success of this role is the ability to lead on change
and research new ways of financing the organisation?s developments.
To succeed in this role, not only will you have the necessary senior
business acumen, but you will demonstrate empathy for and
understanding of the values and mission of the organisation,
evaluating success not just for the business, but for each individual
tenant. You will be skilled in change management and have demonstrable
experience at the most senior level of management and leadership.
